FEEDING CENTERS: As I have been busy coming up with funds for the construction of the house, Pastor Carlos has been engaged in helping to practically address the hunger crisis in Nicaragua. He has pioneered 698 feeding centers serving over 20,000 children. The word has reached the hungry Mosquito Coast where in September he met with with 55 pastors wanting feeding centers. Attending to 3,600 children. The food is free, the volunteers are in place and we have commitments for the $300 to transport the food.
Another new door that opened on this coast is to bring food to the Mayanganes tribe. Serving 1,100 children. This goes by boat into their area and a comitment of $130.00 to transport 2,000 lbs of food has been secured.
Samaritan’s International brings the food to Cascabel which is then distributed around the country. This food run costs $250 for gas. We need help with this.
Let me know if you would like to help! Erik the flutemaker.
