Feb. 4 -11 2011 Mission's Trip to Cascabel
It’s all about the kids and their future. They were beautiful, helpful and very loving to us and one another.

A team of 9 came from Ohio , Kentucky , Texas and Florida including an Architect, Pastor, Youth Pastor, video makers, photographer, Starbucks Coffee sellers, a handsome smiley, humble upcoming 7 year old missionary and an old tired flutemaker.

Donations were given from Joint Effort Ministries in Ohio and Hope Makes a Difference in Florida , from the folks of Doral Vineyard in Miami , from folks who gave clown stuff and blankets in Pa. to guitars from California and Florida . Cloth and scissors for sewing business and educational materials from an Airline Ambassador. $500 worth of Wal-Mart supplies came plus $500 worth of Sunday School materials and books plus $500 worth of art supplies came in 18 bags carrying 50 lbs each.
A $2,000 offering was sent for the Big House septic system by ladies who knit scarves which sold well when the cold hit Georgia . Plus $2,200 was sent for food. $595 for miscellaneous, $500 for children’s play area, $75 for party, $50 gift for Pastor Carlos, $97 for education and $15 for Dennis of the mercy fund Total $5,532. Investments to change lives
Micros Businesses
Snow Cone Business
Meat Market: Big freezer bought, meat funded to be placed in a mountain location where people walk 4 hours to buy meat at a high price. Now they can buy meat at a cheaper price and not have to walk.
English teacher who teaches at a university was hired to come 2 days a week to teach English classes to our kids, volunteers and a class for the community for a donation. When people know English in Nicaragua it will open many doors for better employment in the area of tourism, translation, international commerce and teaching.
Playground area:
The team paid for 6 workers to dig the well and the mountain side play area.
Swing set was built with 3 swings.
Brick stair case built to swing area.

New Well:
Water was recently discovered when a septic tank was being made. There have been no wells in the area for 50 years until our well came in 2008. The team funded 3 men to dig deeper to have more water in Cascabel and to share with neighbors.

Needs Satisfied:
Tires bought for 4 wheel drive Isuzu. Their tires had gashes of rubber gone and deep cracks. I am calling this 4 wheel drive, the Mountain Feeder because it takes food to many feeding centers feeding thousands of kids in Northern Nicaragua.

25 chairs bought for the home
Hot water installed in shower at Cascabel!
Video footage shot:
The 9 Feathers Flute Goes to Nicaragua ’. (50,000 year old wood flute made by many flutemakers for charity. Got to play for the mayor at City Hall. The interview was taped for his radio show and a local TV segment. We had several Churches pray over the future of the flute.
Music Video: Called Rescate (Rescue) where the kids march out of the dump and into the home where they are greeted with food drink and love by staff and other kids. The famous Latin band Contagious said they will help record the song born on the trip.
A short impacting video will also be made by the team’s company.
Guitars for God
Broke ground providing 2 guitars for Cascabel. This is a guitar strategy where we buy 3 amazingly beautiful guitars from a talented Christian. The 2 student models were left at Cascabel; the more expensive guitar will be sold to provide 3 more guitars (2 more to donate and one for resale).
Things Brought to Cascabel:
Laptop will help in their education and email in Cascabel.
School supplies like knap sacks, note books pens and pencils rulers, geometry tools.
Sunday school supplies to equip pastors in northern Nicaragua
Books for Cascabel library
We also brought 2 guitars.
The guitar teacher Marta was in well known bands in Nicaragua . She is a worshiper and loves to bring the kids into a new level of music.
Blankets with great prints
Clown outfit and paint
Cloth and sewing material
Clothing, socks, underwear, tee shirts
Battery charger
2 irons
Filters for water purifier
Mike stand
Electric chords
New Puppets: The puppet ministry performs in the many feeding centers that are currently feeding 15,000 kids all around the mountains of northern Nicaragua .

Art Class:
Pictures were made and brought back to raise funds. Post cards were painted and written to become pen pals with the Vision Church Kids in NY. A class was given on Picasso art. If they can do some cool Picassos we can find a market here for it. Our 2 ladies on the team worked for hours a day as the kids expressed themselves with color.
Flutemaking class:
Third time we made flutes in Cascabel.
Visiting the feeding centers:
One day we visited 5 places with around 3,000 kids. Lulu the missionary puppet and the Cascabel puppet ministry entertained the kids as well as the flute department. Many pastors in villages have united due to this program.
